Gwyneth Paltrow Is Being Sued For An Alleged Skiing Hit And Run
E! Online- The alleged incident took place on the slopes of the Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah in February 2016. Court documents obtained by E! News allege, “Gwyneth Paltrow skied out of control and hit the back of Terry Sanderson, 72, another skier, who was downhill.”
When the award-winning actress hit the doctor, the complaint alleges she knocked him “down hard, knocking him out, and causing a brain surgery, four broken ribs and other injuries,” the complaint alleges.
Per the Skier Responsibility Code, which is a Summit County Ordinance, skiers are required to “immediately stop at the scene of such collision and render to any person injured in such collision reasonable assistance.” The ordinance also requires that any skiers involved in a collision “shall give his name and address to an employee of the ski area operator.”
Gwyneth Paltrow is in the middle of a hit and run lawsuit on the slopes. It seems she was in Park City, Utah learning how to ski (she had an instructor with her) and ran into a 72 year old doctor, Terry Sanderson. The ski instructor allegedly signed an accident report claiming the crash was not Gwyneth’s fault. Sanderson and his lawyer are seeking as much as 3.1 million dollars in damages. I would not be surprised if Gwyneth Paltrow ran into someone skiing and just didn’t give a fuck. Checks out. I was unaware of all these rules of having to report a crash to ski patrol. People crash skiing all the time. It’s obviously different when you take out someone causing serious injuries. Gwyneth’s lawyers are obviously denying this happened.
In a statement to E! News, Gwyneth Paltrow said, “This lawsuit is completely without merit and we expect to be vindicated.”
I’m imagining this crash and I’m not gonna lie I laughed a little. Just thinking about GWYNETH PALTROW probably in some ridiculously expensive ski outfit, screaming, crashing into a 72 year old man, not saying a word and just leaving him is so ridiculous. The poor guy had legit injuries. The alleged witness claimed that she didn’t say a word the entire time. No “are you okay?” or “I’m so sorry”….nothing. Stone cold. The instructor probably just freaking out, because of Gwyneth Paltrow, and just forging an accident report. It almost seems too preposterous to make up. Three MILLION dollars is also an insane amount of money. Just a crazy lawsuit all around. I guess we will have to wait to find out the outcome of this hit and run.
